Privacy policy
Last updated:
At CampUs TECHNOLOGIES we treat your data with the same care we ask others to
give theirs. This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit
campus-tec.com or write to us, why, how long we keep it and how you can
exercise your rights, whether you are in Venezuela or anywhere else.
Who is responsible
The controller is CampUs TECHNOLOGIES C.A., RIF J-50650185-6, Venezuela. For anything about your data, write to contacto@campus-tec.com.
What data we process
- What you write through the form: your name, your email address, your message and, if you give it, your organization.
- What you write to us by email: your address and whatever you include in the message.
- Technical data about your visit: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and result of the request, which the server records like any website.
We do not ask for sensitive data (health, beliefs, origin, biometric data and the like). Please do not include it in your message.
What we use it for and on what legal basis
- Replying to what you write and keeping up the conversation that follows, including preparing a proposal or a contract if you ask for one. The basis is your consent, given when you write to us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Protecting the site and holding back abuse, with the technical data and, for less than an hour, your IP address to limit submissions. The basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
- Counting visits in aggregate, without identifying anyone. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used.
- Meeting legal obligations or a valid request from an authority.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build profiles and we do not make automated decisions about you.
How long we keep it
- Your message: the website does not keep it; it reaches us by email. We keep it for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a business relationship follows, in which case we keep what that relationship and the law require.
- Your IP address for holding back spam: we do not store it anywhere and we forget it within an hour of your last message.
- Server logs: deleted after 90 days at most.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
To host the website and handle email we work with technology service providers. They handle the data only on our behalf, to provide us with those services and under confidentiality obligations.
We only hand data to an authority when a law or a valid order requires us to. We first check that the request is valid and hand over only what it requires.
International transfers
Some of those providers may process the data outside Venezuela and outside your country. When that happens, we require them to protect it to a standard equivalent to this policy and with the safeguards the applicable law requires.
How we protect your data
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encrypting communications and restricting access to the information. No system removes every risk, but if an incident affects your data we will tell you when the law requires it.
No cookies or tracking
The website uses no cookies, loads no analytics or advertising tools and requests nothing from other domains: fonts, images and scripts are served from campus-tec.com.
What you can ask of us
Your data is yours. Write to us at contacto@campus-tec.com whenever you like to:
- find out whether we hold data about you and get a copy, including in a format you can take to another service;
- correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete it;
- object to our using it or ask us to restrict its use;
- withdraw your consent, without affecting what we did with it before.
It costs nothing, you do not need to tell us why and you will not be treated differently for exercising your rights. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm it is you, for example by writing from the same email address you used. We reply within 30 days; if your request is complex, we tell you within that time and say when you will have the answer.
In Venezuela, the Constitution recognizes your right to access your data and to ask for it to be corrected or destroyed (article 28) and protects your private life (article 60). If you are in another country, you can also lodge a complaint with your country’s data protection authority.
Children
This website is aimed at companies and organizations, not at anyone under 18. If we learn that we received data from a minor, we delete it.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, without prejudice to the rights the law of your country gives you. It is an informational document, not a contract: your rights are the ones the law gives you. If the Spanish and English versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
Changes
If we change this policy, we publish the new version here with its date. If the change is significant and we have your email address, we let you know.
